Yahoo have hijacked my internet browser, running W98, MSIE 6.0.2800
If I mistype the website it enters my mistyped letters to
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p="mistypedletters"
The phrase search.yahoo.com is not found in the registry. How can I
reset this so that I can simply backspace and correct my spelling.
(I have not installed yahoo toolbar or any of their other junk, I
suspect it was trojaned in with another program install).
Thanks for any and all help in this matter.

Hi,
A simple virus scan may help with this. (it did when my browser was
hijacked).
go to "www.lavasoft.de" download and install ad-aware personal and run it.
You may be surprised at what it finds.
Hope this helps,

Ad-Aware does not detect viruses. It detects adware and spyware.

Disabling searching from address bar should be sufficient (IE tools,
internet options, advanced).
