Ixplorer cause an invalid page fault in module <unknow>

This problem is on my other computer unable to log onto net after dial up.
Unable to rectify this? Have re-installed OEM disc, unable to install
Iexplorer due to it now being an older version. Can download explorer6
upgrades to this computer back unable to transfer this to other computer.
Other computer tells me it is using Iexplorer5 but it is not shown in
add/remove list.
Please help!
