My friend has an MSN email address, and just got broadband cable, with
antivirus and firewall from the cable provider.  When opening
wwww.hotmail.com; he gets the ususal .net sign in, but instead of going to
hotmail, it just returns to the sign in screen.  He is using Windows 98 SE,
IE 6 and all updates are current.  I have even tried to sign in using my .net
signin but I can not get access either.  Any ideas?

search for hosts files and delete the one which are in c:\windows

control panel --->internet options--->advanced --->uncheck third party
browser ext
close the Internet explore and again open it

or

control panel --->internet options--->security -->lower the security to low
and reset

higlight the Trusted sites and click on sites .. make sure the bottom box is
unchecked and add these two sites
*.microsoft.com
www.hotmail.com
click ok and go privacy tab and scroll the bar to accept all cookies and
close the Internet explore and again open it
