addresses and home page options won't clear out

I have addresses in my home page options box and appear
in my addresses box just when the first letter is put
in. I have cleared history and temporary files in my
internet options but they won't go away. What do i do?

You may need to create a new history folder; if the original is corrupt
history will not clear correctly. Advice on how to do this is at the URL
