I have windows 98.  I have been trying to install Mcafee
Internet Security and am having all sorts of problems.
The most frustrating now is that XYYC.EXE keeps trying to
access the internet.  I don't know what it is.  It pops
up about every 5 minutes whether or not the PC is
connected to the internet.  It is located in
C:/Windows/All Users/StartMenu/Programs and was installed
June 10, 2003.  I don't know where it came from.  At my
son's suggestion I copied it to a CD and tried to delete
it from the hard drive.  A message appeared saying that I
could not delete it because it was part of windows.  I
have attempted an online search for XYYC.EXE and get no
results.  Can anyone help me?

Few things spring to mind......

Trojan,
Worm,
Virii,
Spyware,
Other malware

Run an Antivirus scan......

if that turns nowt up, grab a copy of Spybot Search & Destroy (freeware).
