general protection fault

When on the internet I receive the following message:
"IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault in module
USER.EXE at 003:00001022".

I reinstaled explorer and did a system check along with a
deep virus scan.  Everything checked out OK.

USER.EXE errors are virtually always related to video drivers.
Have you updated your drivers instead of just reloading?  Also, reducing
hardware acceleration at control panel, display, settings, advanced,
performance may assist in stabilising your system
