Hi
Could so one help, I have re-installed win98se on my
computer but when I tried to reconnect to the internet I
was told that the modem could not be detected,
Modem is conexant RS 56 sp-pc1, I have downloaded the
drivers ( I think )for it but am not sure how or where to
load them on

You need to right click on my computer then click on
properties, then click on the hardware tab, then device
manager (may not be a hardware tab, maybe just device
manager, can't remember off hand).  Go down to the modem
section and see if there is anything there, if yes then
double click the modem and click on update driver here
you will go through pointing the OS to where you
downloaded the drivers.

If there is no modem already in the device manager, then
you need to go to start/settings/control panel.  Double
click on install new hardware and walk through without it
trying to find the hardware, you can click on have disk
somewhere along the line and install it that way, if you
