I have and Pentium II 350 MMX System running Windows 98.
It is about 4 years old. For the last several months,
each time I boot up the system I get the following error
message:
"No ISDN devices were found. Please install an ISDN
device and run the configuration wizard again."
When I click on the "OK" icon, the computer bypasses the
message and continues to boot as usual. All programming
and hardware appears to work normally.
I have never had an ISDN device connected to this
computer. How do I eliminate this message.
1. Start up the System Configuration Utility (MSCONFIG.EXE) and un-check
the line that runs CFGWIZ32.EXE, then reboot.
2. Evaluate or re-evaluate your choice of antivirus software. There is a
virus in the wild right now that installs itself in place of the ISDN
Configuration Wizard. Apparently it got closer to your PC than you might
have liked.
