Are the modem and the dial-up thingy two separate items? I can connect
to my ISP with no problem, but when I try to open ANY browser I get a
"no-can-do" message. I would suspect modem problems if the dialer was
something separate...
Angry at the world? Ask me for a sample copy of VITUPERATIONS.

The message is:
Sorry it took so long to get back, but with my machine not connecting,
I have
to wait for space at another machine to get on the web. The error
message that
comes up when I tryto get online with any of my browsers (AOL, Opera,
Internet
Explorer or Netscape) is:

"[browser name] has performed an illegal operation and will be shut
down. If the
problem persists, contact the program vendor."

When I click on Details, I get

"[program name] caused an invalid page fault at module <unknown> at
(varies).
Registers: (varies)
Bytes at CS=EIP: (varies)
Stack dump: (varies)"

The various program vendors, including Godfather Gates, all say the
fault lies
with all the others...

Angry at the world? Ask me for a sample copy of VITUPERATIONS.
