How do I find out which version of windows 98 I am
running ? If it is windows 98 or windows 98 second edition.

Try Control panel --> System icon

It will tell right in the pane:

Like this:
Microsoft Windows 98
Second Edition
4.10.2222A

click on properties this opens up a systems properties box
and on the general tab and you will find a list of your
soft/hardware. hope this helps.
