start up items I need to identify

I have soooooo many items in my start up files, and I know
I don't use 3/4 them. Where can I go to get info so i can
safely identify and uninstall these terrible little
programs that keep messing me up?

Please reply.
I'm running out of dick space as we speak, LOL

type in msconfig.exe, and you will be able to pull down
your start-up tab.  This will give you a list of all
program run in stsart-up.  You can check or uncheck any
prgram you want to run.  I had the same problem and the
only programs I kept running was explorer, system tray,
and my anti-virus.  Unchecking a program does not mean you
delete it.  You just disable at start-up.
