there's files missing from my windows.... when i start up
my computer system a black screen pops up saying the file
is either missing or corrupted c:command.com........
c:\windows\command.com.... and i'm not sure on how to
reinstall windows, i don't have the windows 98 floppy disk
to bootup windows, and it's not accepting the windows98 cd-
rom.... what should i do????

Hello,

Go to http://www.bootdisk.com/  and create a Windows 98 Startup disk.    
Start with the Windows 98 boot disk,  at the a:\ prompt, type:

sys c:  and hit enter

Restart the computer normally, if you receive the same error,  reboot with
the Startup disk, choose CD-ROM Support,  when you get to the prompt,
change to the drive for your cd-rom, insert your Windows 98 cd-rom and type
Setup to re-rerun Windows Setup

Please be aware there are viruses that can cause this error message also.
