my windows 98 disk is damaged and I had to do a full recovery and now I can not load windows back onto to my computer. Can i download the version from the microsoft site, and use my certificate of authenticity number, and get the exact same thing for free. If so how No, it is not available for download. If it came with the computer (OEM version) you need to contact the whoever you purchased the computer from or the computer manufacturer.
