I run windows 98 second edition on my computer. Not to
long ago my windows media player 9 stopped working. I
tried to reload it but got an error message saying the the
version could only be installed on windows 98se and up. I
then tried to install windows media player 7.1 and it
failed in the installation process. I want windows media
player nine back on my computer but i keep getting the
error message saying the the version could only be
installed on windows 98se and up eventhough im running
windows 98se and the version used to work on my computer.
Do you know how this can be fixed?

I am having the same problem.  I have Win98SE, but can not
install Media Player 9!  Don't know why and haven't been
able to find out why.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
