I lost sound on my computer.
The speaker sound icon dissappeared.
When I click star/programs/accessories/entertainment/CD
player.... I can play CD.
When I click star/programs/accessories/entertainment/Sound
recorder.... I get a messege cannot play because no sound
device is installed.
When I click star/programs/accessories/entertainment/
volume control .... No response ( its grayed).

I clicked multimedia in control panel but the audio and
MIDI are grayed.

In device manager the the sound card is installed and its
driver updated.

I clicked add New hardware in control panel but windows
detected none uninstalled.

Please Help to get my sound back
