How do I remove The Media Player V.9 when it doesn't show
in the "Remove" area?  Help!

Thanks!

Hi,

To uninstall mediaplay, you need to install the latest version from the
following URL:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/player.aspx

After installing the latest version, you get an option to uninstall the
mediaplayer.

How does that help to purge your system so that you can revert back to an
earlier version?

Or is it the same f'ing reprehensible design decision bs as DirectX?

Chances are, requires a complete clean re-install of the OS instead?
