Whenever I reboot my Win 98 computer I find the
Wave "Mute" box is always checked under Volume Control.  I
then have to waste time unchecking the Mute box before I
can listen to any WAV files.  How do I prevent Volume
Control from automatically muting the WAV setting?

I would try unmuting it as soon as I entered Windows, and exitting
windows immediately after that.  Worked for me.

Thanks for the reply.  I did a Google Groups search for
that post ID but couldn't find it.  Could you post a
direct link to it please?

Thanks again.

Did you put the value in a Words field or the Message ID field?  Did
you go to Advanced Groups Search?  It's a message-id and the Message
ID field worked for me.
