I installed an extra CD drive the other day and since then
I haven't been able to play any audio cds.  I know the
problem is not with my sound card since it works fine for
other sounds, and my cd player can read and write fine,
its just that no sound comes out when a cd is playing.

Whats going on?

Thanks

Did you connect the thin audio cable between the audio ouptut of the drive
and the CD_IN input of the sound card? Without this in place you won't hear
audio when playing an audio cd even though it looks like it's playing ok.
