Is this the first time you're trying to view pictures? Or is it that the
usual program has stopped working? If it's the latter what was the program
you were using? Do you get any error messages when trying to open the files?

Not much info to advise you on the cause of the problem. Have you tried
opening the files you wish to view from the viewer application? For example,
you could view jpg files from Internet Explorer - go to the "file" menu,
select "open", browse till you get the file you want to view, click "open"
and "ok". What happens if you do this?

Yes, that works. The files do not work just opening them
from the desk top. the issue seems to be that I have to
have IE open. getting CD showes to run from the desk top
just won't. One file at a time from IE is ok.

What about if you right click on the file (you wish to open) and chose open?
Does it work then?
