Hello

I dont have any tcp/ip options to choose from in
the 'network' configuration (tab) of my windows 98
operating system. When in this window it simply reads
tcp/ip and I require tcp/ip fast ethernet (type) options
to choose from.  How do I install or 'acquire' these
options so they appear in the configuration tab. I cant
get on the net because of this problem by the way.  Thank
you.

Sincerely.

If the computer only has one network adapter, that's normal.  The list
of network components will look like this, and the TCP/IP entry is the
one for the Ethernet adapter:

  Client for Microsoft Networks
  Ethernet Adapter
  TCP/IP
  File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks

If there are two or more network adapters (including the Dial-Up
Adapter), the list of network components has multiple TCP/IP entries,
and each one explicitly shows an adapter name so that you can tell the
apart, like this:

  Client for Microsoft Networks
  Dial-Up Adapter
  Ethernet Adapter
  TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter
  TCP/IP -> Ethernet Adapter
  File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
