Hello-
    I recently upgraded an old laptop from Windows 95 to Windows 98SE.  I
also installed a bigger hard drive and increased the RAM.  I am trying to
install the driver for a wireless PCMCIA card, but after installation the
device manager gives me a code 7 and says that I need to reinstall the
driver.  I have tried this, and I have also gotten the latest driver from the
manufacturer, but the same thing happens.  Other PCMCIA cards work on this
computer.  Any ideas?  Thanks

Hi;
Check the properties for your wireless card.  Most of the new ones are
cardbus (32 bit).  Most of the older laptops are PCMCIA (16 bit).  Cardbus
is not backward compatible.

Dumb question, but have you checked the mfr's site for an updated driver, or
see if they have a forum?
Sorry I can't be of more, if any, help.
