Our Windows 98 machines on our network are getting a blank error message with
a title of Microsoft Networking and only an OK box.  If you click OK it just
takes you right back to the logon screen.  This is a school environment and
time is of the essense.  We have a Windows 2000 domain server as the logon
server.  Any ideas what is causing this?

boot to safe mode , remove references to your network adapter...

then reboot and let th OS reinstall the drivers for the NIC...check your
network protocols , and let us know
