Able to ping local lan..but nothing outside of hub

Got a strange problem
I can ping another computer plugged into the same hub..but can not ping
anything else..I can only ping other computers plugged into same
hub...outside of hub..it times out...
the other computer pings fine to any where...
it receives ip fine from dhcp..and it can be renewed..but cant even ping
router...

check to make sure it is getting proper DNS and Gateway settings
