Win98 LAN. 3 questions

I have two Win98SE machines and one Win98 (FE) machine. When
I shut off all machines and reboot one of the 98SE
computers, the other computers show up in the Explorer
window directory tree even though they are off. Where does
windows write and retain information about the network?

Is it better to set the Client for Microsoft Network network
log-on options to quick logon or logon and restore? What's
the difference?

How do I get rid of the windows start-up log-on screen once
I have entered a username and password? I tried deleting the
password through control panel but after that I still get a
blank logon screen. Before this, I was using Microsoft
family logon which does not require logging on.

I think it's the same place it stores everything else -- the registry.

One restores the connections, and the other doesn't. Take your pick.

Download a copy of tweakui from Microsoft and see if that gives you the
functionality you want.
