Fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:c000A97F in VXD
VMM(01)+000997F    Seems to be after network logon.

Seen this on a few Windows 98se computers recently with this message
or a similar one.

The machines connect to a domain from a Win2000 server.  I'm sure this
problem has something to do with a networking problme of some sort.
Generally i'd power the machines down and reboot a couple times and
then the error would not recur.

Any ideas on what can cause this?

                         Thanks

Interestingly the problem seemed to clear up on it's own after 2 days.

I'm suspecting this had something to do with the Windows 2000 Server
and not a damaged Win98 system registry as that support article
mentioned.  Otherwise why would it have cleared up if the file were
damaged?

Thanks for trying to help however.
