I have a laptop set up for networking and although I no longer need the
network connection, I still have to Log on to the network.
Can anyone please tell me how to safely remove the Network facility from my
laptop.
Win 98, 3com PCMCIA network card
Thanks in advance

Go to Control Panel > Network, set the primary network login to
"Windows Logon", and reboot.

Also leave the password blank if you want to bypass subsequent logon
screens.
