OK Folks,
Put on your thinking caps, cause here's a really strange
one....
I have a Win 98 PC, when launching any program which
requires access to the i-net I get No Network
connections...It is sitting on my personal LAN via
DSL/Cable Router, all other computers sitting on the LAN
have no problems connecting to I'Net, and this PC was
working fine also then last week booted it up and the
problem was there. I am able to connect to shared drive on
this PC and transfer files, so I know my network
connection is there. One thing I have noticed is that the
DHCP in the Computer does not seem to update, in other
words I tried setting this up using a Static IP but it
didnt work either, so when changed back to DHCP it is
keeping the same static IP that was loaded, another thing
that I noticed is that IP Routing is not enabled, but to
this day I can't figure out how to enable it...
This is my last hope prior to full reload...Please if
someone has any ideas let me know.....
Also, if somebody has a full version of IE could you send
it to me, when going to microsoft all you get is the setup
files, I wanted to try and reload IE but since I have no
I'Net connection it is making it very difficult....
Thanks,
Dave

Do you have your dsl / cable modem router to use DHCP? I
have found that with most win98 machines, you need to
specifiy an IP address manually and also manually install
DNS server's / ip addresses.
