I'm trying to install my old copy of Windows 98 onto my
old laptop which has no CD drive.
I understand that this is possible over a network. I can
share my CD drive on my working computer, but how can I
network with DOS? I guess I need a DOS driver for my
PCMCIA card, I'm sure I can find that. And, possibly
install NetBEUI on my WinXP machine. But then what?
PLease let me know, even a URL or link to somewhere on the
MSKB would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Finding a DOS boot diskette for a laptop with a PCMCIA card is going to be
just about impossible. DOS does not support card services, so it won't see
the card adapter. The only hope you have is if your card manufacturer has a
complete DOS driver set including card service support.
