Hi John,
I have looked at my account properties and my name is
written as Ellen Johnson. However, when I send out
emails, this is what the header says:
Return-Path: [my email address]
Received: from ellensmith ([my IP address])
From: Ellen Johnson
I can't understand why it says received from Ellen Smith
and from Ellen Johnson.

What does it list in the email address?
You can't change that without the cooperation of your ISP.

Hello,
I have finally solved my problem on my own :)
What I did was go to Start > Settings > Control Panel >
Network
In the Identification tab, I changed my computer name from
Ellen Smith to Ellen Johnson. After restarting my
computer, I sent an email using Outlook Express and my
friend confirmed the email header now states:
Return-Path: [my email address]
Received: from ellenjohnson ([my IP address])
From: Ellen Johnson
