New messages: Default changes to double space

Another goofy problem.... I set up OE6 to be single space with no addition
space when return, Arial 10pt..... But now when I create a new email, I get
double space when I hit return and Times Roman.

Any idea why the default settings would change without my input?

Are your mail settings to send in Plain Text or HTML?  If Plain Text, your
choices in Tools/Options/Compose for HTML messages are ignored and what you
see are the choices under Tools/Options/Read and Fonts settings.
