OE>Tools>Options>connection tab.

From: http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/disconnect.htm
In OE go to Tools | Accounts and do the following for each mail and news
account:
Double click the account.
Go to the Connection tab.
Uncheck "Always connect to this account using:".
Apparently OE can't check to see what account you are connected through, so
it closes the connection and then reconnects the one you told it to use just
to be safe.

It was not checked in either mail or news. Not a clue what is causing this.
It will disconnect before I can even get one or two messages into my inbox.
Shrugs.. Thank you for your assistance..
