I tried this. It shows me only the name of the sender and not his e-mail
address.

When you double click the name in the opened message window you should get an address
book style pop-up Properties window with the contact's name and e-mail address. (Note
that you need to do 2 double clicks. One to open the message in it's own window and a
second one to open the properties.)
But as to your original question, there is no way to OE to always show the e-mail address
in the message list. IT will show the e-mail address if that was all that was in the
From: header, but if the From: header includes a "friendly name", OE shows just that.

Hi Andy,
I'm not an expert, far from it , but something Frank Saunders MS-MPV showed
me might be useful for you as it is very quick.
"While viewing a message press Ctrl-F3."
The senders e-mail address is the top line.
