In the Outlook Express ,in box, is there a way that the  " from" portion can
be made to show the full e-mail address of the sender instead of just the
persons name without having to go to File-Property  to see it.

Easiest way is just to double click the message so that it opens in its own
window, then just double click the sender's name in the From line.  You will
see the email address there.

I tried this. It shows me only the name of the sender and not his e-mail
address.

When you double click the name in the opened message window you should get an  address
book style pop-up Properties window with the contact's name and e-mail address.  (Note
that you need to do 2 double clicks.  One to open the message in it's own window and a
second one to open the properties.)

But as to your original question, there is no way to OE to always show the e-mail address
in the message list.  IT will show the e-mail address if that was all that was in the
From: header, but if the From: header includes a "friendly name", OE shows just that.

Hi Andy,

I'm not an expert, far from it , but something Frank Saunders MS-MPV showed
me might be useful for you as it is very quick.

"While viewing a message press Ctrl-F3."

The senders e-mail address is the top line.
