Saving and clearing huge inbox folder

This is probably common knowledge to someone well versed in OE.

I save my mail in my inbox folder (I know, not smart) and have built up
quite a volume of messages in the inbox folder which is on my C: drive.

I have a small C: drive partition and my huge inbox folder is taking
valuable space on the C: partition which is only a bit less than 1 Gig (I
know, very small by today's standards). I have more space available on my E:
and F: patitions. I want to store my (many) inbox messages (about 100 Meg)
on my E: or F: partitions, but hopefully in a format that should I wish to
look for an old message in that 100 Meg I can still bring them back without
to much trouble. How do I do this?

Thanks

hankman

In OE go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and see where OE is
storing its data.
Close OE.
Go to the Store Folder with Windows Explorer and move Inbox.dbx to an empty
folder on E: or F:.  OE will create a new, empty Inbox when you open it
again.
Get DBXtract ($5) from http://www.oehelp.com and use it to extract the
messages from the old Inbox.dbx as EML files.  Make sure you tell DBXtract
where to extract them to.
