When I use Tools/Spelling in my emails in Outlook Express I get the Error
message

" An error occured while the spelling was being checked."

I have MS Word installed which I understand you need for the spell check to
work in Outlook Express.

The spell check works in Word ok, so what do I need to do for the
spellckeck to work in OE?

"Always check spelling before sending" is ticked

This Outlook Express is on a brand new computer with XP.

Then why post to a W98 group? :-)

See:

It says OE5 it covers OE6.

You are possibly missing CSAPI3T1.DLL ? in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\PROOF

You can expand it from CSAPI3T1.DL_ in the \i386 directory on your WinXP CD.
Go to Start>Run and type this command:

expand D:\i386\CSAPI3T1.DL_  C:\CSAPI3T1.DLL

Where D: is your CD drive.  Then move it from the root directory of C: to
the PROOF folder.  Some people also have to put it in the Outlook Express
program folder.
