Is there a way to have IE 6 fill in your sign-in name & password
automatically the way Netscape does?

Hmm, that seems to be the default setting, because that is the way mine is
set up, but it doesn't seem to work, or else I don't know how to make it
work.  Do I have to do anything to have it accept my passwords as I type
them?

It varies with what you are trying to do...

tools>internet options>security>click on internet zone>hit custom button.

At the bottom of the list try setting "Prompt for user name and password"
and see if that helps.

Also for FTP sites look in the "File" menu for a "logon as" option.

You may wish to have the same setting in the other zones as well, I'm not
sure why this setting is even "Zoned" but oh well :)

I presume that you mean the name and password for a web site (the
dial-up ISP logon is handled differently.)
