OE6 with XP sp2
I had trouble with Norton and OE last week so I took someone's advice
and changed mapi32.dll to mapi32.old and I changed mapi3x.dll to
mapi32.dll

When I use the Send to Mail Recipient, the little window flies open and
says Choose Profile and only shows Microsoft Outlook.  I uninstalled it
two or three weeks ago.  How do I make the Send to Mail Recipient go
back to OE like it was doing before last week?

I just did a search for mapi and only mapi32.old shows on my PC.

PS If you have me go into run or the registry please explain the steps
carefully as I don't do those two things often and I know I have to be
very careful to follow every step correctly.  :)

The easiest way...

Open IE, click tools, click options, click programs, and set OE to the
default mail handler or do the same in OE itself. That *should* take care of
it?

Make sure that you have a zero-byte file in your SendTo folder named
mail Recipient.MAPIMail

If the other suggestions didn't work, then go to Start | Program Access and
Defaults and set OE default.

Also turn off email scanning in Norton if you value your messages:
