Corruption in dbx?

I believe my inbox.dbx file may be corrupted. All my other folders load fine
in Outlook Express. I had something happen that froze my computer and when I
rebooted the INBOX appears empty. I scanned for Virus but found none. I
scanned for the inbox.dbx and it is there with plenty of bytes...just won't
load.

Is there a tool that will fix corrupted dbx files? If so, where can I find it?

No tool to fix them.
Go to Tools | Options | Maintenance and note where OE is storing its data.
Now set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders.  Close OE.  In
Windows Explorer go to the store folder.  You will  probably see two Inbox
files:  Inbox.dbx and Inbox(1).dbx - the newer, smaller one is the one OE is
currently using.  Move the older, larger one to an empty Windows folder.
Get DBXtract ($5 at www.oehelp.com) and extract the messages from the old
file.  You can drag the extracted messages from the Windows folder to a
folder in an open OE.
Don't store messages in the Inbox.  Move them to user created OE folders as
soon as possible or delete them.  Compact the Inbox at least once a week.
