Been using OE for a long time without problems to export and read my
yahoo mail, but recently OE has begun changing my yahoo account settings
so it will not work.  I can change them back to the correct ones, it
works ok for a while and then OE changes the settings again.  The
settings that get changed are the pop3 server settings
(pop.mail.yahoo.com changes itself to 127.0.0.1) and my login name
changes to the whole email address, adding '@yahoo.com'.

Any clues as to the cause and solution would be appreciated.  I am using
OE6.
Thanks
Jim T

Your anti-virus or anti-spam program is doing that.  Uninstall the anti-spam
program and turn off email scanning in your anti-virus.  Email scanning
provides no more protection than having the anti-virus running in the
background.
