I found that some (very few) of my emails from normal senders were not
downloading into Outlook Express, but were in my btopenworld inbox and
could be accessed via the browser. Loads of very unsatifactory
conversations with btopenworld help people who seemed not to understand

the issue -eventually gave up. However, have now discovered that
something (Mcafee?) is changing my pop3 account from
mail.btopenworld.com to 127.0.0.1 when the PC is rebooted, and only on
reboot. When I set POP3 to mail.btopenworld.com the missing emails come

through ok.

However, when I reboot, POP3 gets set to 127.0.0.1 and ALL the emails
ever received since last reboot come through again!!!

This is driving me mad - its either BTyahoo s/w (which I have removed
from PC) or Mcafee which is doing this I suspect, but I cant cahnge it.

If I deinstall Mcafee, I wont have any visus protection.

Any ideas, please help,

Thanks
Den
