I have a message in my outobox in which I have the incorrect email address.
Now everytime I try to send someone an email the system wants to send this
one as well and I always get the same error message back that this email
cannot be sent that the server has the wrong email address. How do I get
rid of this email. I don't want to even send it any longer but I'm not sure
how to delete it so I will stop getting this message

Open the outbox, right-click the message, and click Delete.

1. Disable Preview pane, if necessary (View > Layout > Preview pane).
2. Try deleting the message from Outbox now.
If no joy...
1a. Move any messages that you want to keep out of Sent Items and Deleted
Items folders and into other local OE folders you've created for archiving
(saving) such messages.
1b. Move 99% of your messages in your Inbox folder to other local OE
folders, too.
2. Write down the location of your identity's store
(http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm#storemain).
3. Close OE.
4. In Windows Explorer, navigate to your store folder, find & delete the
files Outbox.dbx, Sent Items.dbx, and Deleted Items.dbx.
To avoid such problems in the future:
- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.
- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.
- Disable Background Compacting and frequently perform a manual compact of
all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm
- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
PS: Get IE6 SP1 installed ASAP then check-in at Windows Update to install
any critical updates offered.
