hi,,

i have had a gmail account for a year or so, and due to abuse i wish to remove everything regarding
that account.    i want to totally wipe everything and start again with a new mail address within
gmail.     how do i get rid of gmail and all correspondence from last year? (sure, i can delete
correspondence, but want to ensure All has been removed including foot-prints etcetera.;    but more
to the point, i just want it to be as if i was never ever there in the first place;   had a bad
experience.)

have spent forever doing the runaround that gmails links offered, including the forums it pointed
to, but cant find a simple solution,     anyone here know how-to?

thanks

first,, i cant even see my post here, only your 'Re:' is showing,,    hmm.

second, its obvious i didnt explain enough.
i have been to every single google/gmail link possible, including the one you provided;;       have
never had much luck with forums and always forget password........       there are too many.  (and
in this case, gmail as with others, do Not make it easy to get out......    found this out with
ebay,,,   boyohboy, what a drama that was short of using fdisk and reinstalling.)

so, all that aside, do you know how i can totally obliterate my whole association with gmail, which
is what i really want to do.   afterward, (after i know that has been achieved, i can then simply go
there and set up a new account)

also, i scoured my own computer but couldnt find a thing that related to gmail, (?) is it all just '
out there in the ether'?

thanks.

hi mister bear....

i cannot see any posts except for your reply;     i cannot see my original or the one that i replied
to since your  reply,,,,      not sure what bloody hell hell is going on.
i have no idea if anyone else has replied,,,    is this a microsoft server thing, or..............?
worse thing is, i am typing this but wondering why;;      if i cant see anything then it is
pointless.

so,,  if anyone else has posted a reply or found a solution to my problem, and have posted here,
could you re-post under a new thread.... (even your reply bear came up as a 'RE'.

no wonder i is a simpleton.

My guess is that it can't be done.

If you stop accessing your Gmail account (via the web or a mail client),
you account will go inactive after 6 months.  But that's about it.  Most
mail services, such as Gmail keep records of the accounts forever.  And
they've probably archived all your mail.

There's no undo on the Internet.
