If the blue screen pops up randomly, it's most likely a hardware related
problem. Otherwise, it's most likely a software related problem. Your best
be is to start looking for updates for all the applications and hardware
drivers on your system.

Exception 0D could be due to corrupted drivers in memory, damaged video drivers or multimedia software, or a number of other things, including bad physical RAM or other hardware problems.
Adobe Type Manager also causes exception 0D errors.
I would start with this:
Click Start>Run, type system.ini and click OK.
Scroll down to the [boot] section, look for this line:
system.drv=atmsystem.drv
If found, change it to read:
system.drv=system.drv
Exit and save the changes, and re-boot.
If no joy, continue here:

I find that knowing what was replaced with "blah blah something" can
be quite helpful, often indicating the exact programs and modules that
aren't getting along.
