Just recently the programme closes down and goes to
restart when I am in the middle of a task or programme.
Most annoying as I lose what I was doing and have to start
over - and then it happens again!

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Spontaneous rebooting is usually caused by a hardware problem.  The most
common causes include bad memory modules (RAM), a failed or dirty cooling
fan, or a bad power supply.
