Sound card

Just got a used PC and I believe there is a sound card but
cannot get computer to recognize it.  Can anyone help?

Katie, what have you tried? That would help us know where to start.

You say you *believe* there's a sound card. Have you opened the computer to
look? Is there anyplace on the back to plug in speakers?
