Problem just began.  For years now, my Windows Explorer view has been
the "detail" view rather than the "list" view.  Explorer has ceased to
show the "detail" view.  If I choose "icon" the icon with title will
appear.  If I choose "list" a simple list of files will appear.
However, now, when I choose "detail" I still only get a list with no
size and date information.  Any suggestions?

Check if there's a scroll bar at the bottom.  The size of the filename
column may have been extended past the right edge of the window.

Click in the pane to ensure it is active, then key in Ctrl and + where + is
the gray plus key on the numeric keypad.  This will restore a default view.

There was a time when this question appeared several times a day, but it has
faded away in recent years, with just two recent occurrences that I can
recall.  Some of us rely on the old problems ;-)
