My MaxFileCache is set to 12288 in the system.ini file.I
have been told it is set too low and that I should let
windows set the cache size.I have 512mb of ram.How do I
let windows set it or how do I increase it myself ?

                                               Thanks

Open up your System.ini file in Notepad (and ONLY in Notepad!) and look for
the section headed [vcache].  There will be from one to three lines there,
with values for MaxFileCache, MinFileCache and Chunksize.  Delete any of
these lines that appear there, save the file, then restart Windows.
