I've downloaded the MSVBVM60.DLL and have the icon(looks
like a vise) on my desktop, however I do not know how to
install or unzip this file. I am totally computer
illiterate(so sorry) and am in need of more instruction. I
greatly appreciated the email I received from Alan Edwards
whom directed me to the DLL site to download. As soon as I
know this worked I will definitely go back to make a
donation. Thank You, Jody

Hi Jody,
Download and install WinZip. It's free for 30 days, and will unzip your
DLL.

No, you downloaded msvbvm60.zip which contains the .dll file.
The site I pointed to clearly tells you this and where to get Winzip.
Please read the information at the site.
If your .zip file looks like a vise then you probably already have
Winzip. If so, double-click it to open the .zip file and put the .dll
in the System folder.

If you download fromthe MS site, you get an executable which includes that
DLL and associated files and the executable installs everything for you.
You get the latest service pack version of all files.

A better alternative (and no donation needed) is to download and install the Visual Basic Run-time Files, which include that file and the proper versions of its associated files.
Go here and click the link in the article to download the update, then install it:
VBRun60sp5.exe Installs Visual Basic 6.0 Run-Time Files:
