I am discovering several programs running on my computer
that I cannot uninstall.  Example, GAIN or GMT software.
It does not come up as a program available
to "Install/Uninstall" on the Settings/Controll Panel/Add-
Remove Programs".  I fear just going through Windows
Explore and deleting the folder, have tried and get
messages saying program being used by Windows.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Warm Regards.

Spyware does not always come with an uninstaller.

You might try one of these:
Ad-Aware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
or:
SpyBot Search and Destroy - http://security.kolla.de/
