Explorer error at sign on

I have windows 98 and get an error message every time I try to start
computer.  Message is EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module
COMCTL32.DLL at 0167:bfb7fcdc.  HOw do I get my computer back up???

First run a virus check.
Then boot DOS and search the whole C: for
this file.   You probably have more than one
copy and could copy another to c:\windows\system.
