I keep getting the error message "Explorer caused a stack
fault in module KERNEL32.dll at 0167:bff7429f. What's
causing this? Please help!

When do you get this? That is, what are you doing with the computer at the
time?

HEre's one solution, when the problem occurs while trying to open My
Documents:

Unable to Use the My Documents Shortcut on the Desktop
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=189952

The cause in this instance is a bad Registry value.
